Maker of indoor and outdoor metal and mixed media sculpture, artist Yvonne LeMire resides in Marquette, Michigan where she is employed at the Studio Gallery, as gallery manager, and at Northern Michigan University as an assistant welding instructor. She began her education at Western Michigan University in the Interior Design Department. After transferring to Northern she changed majors to Furniture Design, but after taking a few metals courses, decided to change her concentratation to Sculpture.

Yvonne earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture in 1999. While a student, she received many major awards including:
